Input Visualizers

There are quite a few choices you have when it comes to showing your controller inputs, be it for a tutorial or for an added level of verification for your run. This page gives you an overview of some good options that are available for the public to use.

GamePad Viewer

If you’ve ever looked into input viewers, chances are you came across GamePad Viewer. It’s very easy to get set up and use. If you simply want to capture the inputs for your controller with little configuration required, this is your best bet.

NohBoard

NohBoard is a keyboard input display program for the PC platform. User DeathMaster001 has provided a json layout made for the game, using the default keyboard controls. You can also create your own custom layouts if you so choose.

Sonic Input Display

While Sonic Input Display (SID) is made for reading inputs from the Sonic Adventure series of games on PC, it can still be used to read raw inputs from your controller (which in this case will usually be the natively supported Xbox controller). With SID you have a few themes you can choose from, and the layout is compact and minimal in nature, allowing for you to squeeze it into your recording/streaming layout with ease.
